Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ritchie Bator made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, Calvin Hunt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 5 minutes of play, Blofield's Chaz Murtagh made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Freddie Meehan was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 8th minute, Jim Webster left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Blofield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Ninfield's Ritchie Bator got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 15th minute, Ritchie Bator reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Doug Haugue. The goal made the score 1-2. Blofield's Doug Haugue proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Blofield from getting a goal against them. Doug Haugue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ritchie Bator in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Ninfield's Rueben Gardener nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doug Haugue made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. A collision led to Blofield getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jim Webster hit a great ball. In the 28th minute of the match Gordon Wellings shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Doug Haugue showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Gordon Wellings had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blofield's defense didn't have a chance, in the 35th minute, when Ritchie Bator scored to the left of an out of position Doug Haugue, making the score, 3-2. Freddie Meehan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chaz Murtagh in the 39th minute of play. If Jim Webster had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddie Meehan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Chaz Murtagh's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Doug Haugue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ritchie Bator in the 46th minute of the match. Doug Haugue made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rueben Gardener in the 47th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chaz Murtagh to strike the kick off in the second half. Freddie Meehan made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Jim Webster sent off a good shot on target. In the 54th match minute, Ninfield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vinnie May to maneuver through the defense. 56 minutes into the match, Jake Kendall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Freddie Meehan. Ninfield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jake Kendall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-3. In the 59th minute of the match, Jim Webster got a very nice opportunity to score, but Freddie Meehan was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Blofield's Doug Haugue played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gordon Wellings in the 61st minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Chaz Murtagh dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Freddie Meehan, 3-4. 66 minutes into the match, Ritchie Bator had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doug Haugue. Blofield's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ritchie Bator was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. Jim Webster succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-5 in the 72nd playminute. In the 76th minute Chaz Murtagh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Meehan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Jim Webster ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Freddie Meehan was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-6. In the 80th minute Chaz Murtagh shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Freddie Meehan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Jim Webster notched a goal, 4-7, to the right of Ninfield's Freddie Meehan. Freddie Meehan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chaz Murtagh in the 85th minute of play forced Ninfield's goalkeeper Freddie Meehan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Broom's late challenge caught a Ninfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dennis Broom helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th match minute, Blofield was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Broom to maneuver through the defense. Steve Clarke kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Jim Webster made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 92ndth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Freddie Meehan would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. Freddie Meehan made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Jim Webster sent off a good shot on target. Stew Coton charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Stew Coton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 95th minute, Stew Coton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Blofield walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
