Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Runcorn's Dane Beaver started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Runcorn's Gwyn Wybrow got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Runcorn's Gwyn Wybrow got a free kick in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Knights of the Spring's Dom Halliday sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that George Green narrowly saved just below the crossbar. George Green showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Micheal Goodman in the 9th minute of the match. 13 minutes into the match, Runcorn's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Halliday came free, but George Green reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Micheal Goodman in the 18th minute of play. In the 20th minute, Fraser Westlake ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Russ Webster was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Runcorn were furious when Philip Broadbent was red carded, 24 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 23rd minute of the game. One of Runcorn:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Knights of the Spring:s goal. Russ Webster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dane Beaver in the 31st minute. George Green came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Knights of the Spring's Dom Halliday. But to his dismay, Dom Halliday quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dom Halliday to make the kick off. After 55 played minutes Knights of the Spring got a freekick which was hit by Micheal Goodman. Micheal Goodman took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised George Green. George Green dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. 68 minutes into the match, Runcorn's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Halliday came free, but George Green reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the match, Runcorn's goalkeeper George Green had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Micheal Goodman. George Green didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Micheal Goodman went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Micheal Goodman got free with George Green in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dom Halliday kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. The supporters of Knights of the Spring booed when Runcorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Draper didn't get a good kick on the ball. George Green made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Micheal Goodman sent off a good shot on target. Runcorn's George Green played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dom Halliday in the 84th minute of play. Runcorn's defense didn't have a chance, in the 86th minute, when Edward Biernat scored to the left of an out of position George Green, making the score, 2-5. Anthony Reid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. George Green didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Knights of the Spring's Micheal Goodman shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-6 in the ordered_time% minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Knights of the Spring walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
