Spectators: 7474 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1874, VIP seats: 100) Connor Waddington started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Denny Holmes hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Connor Waddington struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Rowan Savage didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Frinton. After a defensive mix-up in Farnborough's zone, Shawn Clifford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rowan Savage came out of the goal and Shawn Clifford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Connor Waddington came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Frinton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Connor Waddington couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geoff Ansell during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 17th minute, Geoff Ansell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rowan Savage was a little too slow when Shawn Clifford got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 20th minute. The score was now 1-0. Frinton's Shawn Clifford got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute Shawn Clifford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowan Savage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Farnborough's Rowan Savage proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Farnborough from getting a goal against them. After 26 played minutes Farnborough got a freekick which was hit by Geoff Ansell. Farnborough's Rowan Savage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shawn Clifford in the 27th minute of play. Rowan Savage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adam Morris in the 29th minute of play. Winnie Harrison charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Winnie Harrison the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Farnborough getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Winnie Harrison hit a great ball. Danny Banks kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. If Tod Wardill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After 71 played minutes Farnborough got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Knight. Frinton's Connor Waddington got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rowan Savage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Shawn Clifford in the 75th minute of play. After having played for 78 minutes, Tod Wardill managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Farnborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tod Wardill was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 81st match minute, Farnborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ruben Knight to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes of play, Frinton's Connor Waddington made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rowan Savage was left in no man's land by his defense there! Farnborough's Rowan Savage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Waddington in the 88th minute of play. In the 91stth minute of the game Connor Waddington who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Farnborough's Rowan Savage was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 93 minutes into the game, when Danny Banks put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Frinton fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 93rd minute. Penalty! Frinton:s Sam Kennedy showed great skill when he stopped Luke Harper:s penalty.
