Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dom Halliday started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Knights of the Spring got a freekick which was hit by Anthony Reid. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rueben Gardener got free with Russ Webster in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute, Edward Biernat hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rueben Gardener received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Russ Webster tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ninfield's Steve Clarke got a free kick in the 9th minute. 17 minutes into the game, Ritchie Bator recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Russ Webster. Ritchie Bator showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Russ Webster made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Rueben Gardener sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rd minute Ritchie Bator shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Webster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the match, Ninfield's goal looked a bit too open when Dom Halliday came free, but Freddie Meehan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Freddie Meehan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Micheal Goodman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. The supporters of Knights of the Spring booed when Ninfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vinnie May didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Micheal Goodman put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Freddie Meehan. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Micheal Goodman during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Ritchie Bator made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Ninfield's goalkeeper Freddie Meehan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Micheal Goodman. Stew Coton hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Vinnie May kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 60 minutes into the game, Micheal Goodman recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Freddie Meehan. Micheal Goodman showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. Freddie Meehan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Halliday in the 64th minute of the match. Ninfield's Freddie Meehan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dom Halliday in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Micheal Goodman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Freddie Meehan, passed just outside the right post. 71 minutes into the match, Micheal Goodman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Freddie Meehan, 2-4. Micheal Goodman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Freddie Meehan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Freddie Meehan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dom Halliday, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 84 played minutes Knights of the Spring got a freekick which was hit by Jon Barnett. Ritchie Bator's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Russ Webster read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Freddie Meehan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micheal Goodman in the 92nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Anthony Reid managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knights of the Spring's supporters rose to their feet, but Anthony Reid was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Freddie Meehan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Micheal Goodman got free with Freddie Meehan in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute, Stew Coton hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dom Halliday came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Knights of the Spring fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dom Halliday couldn't finish the play.
