Spectators: 7985 (Terracing: 5990, Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Tod Wardill made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Woolton's Andre Cavanagh sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rowan Savage narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rowan Savage showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Wilberforce in the 6th minute of the match. In the 9th match minute, Farnborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoff Ansell to maneuver through the defense. Andre Cavanagh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Rowan Savage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Winnie Harrison got free with Leroy Floyd in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lance MacDonald hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. In the 17th match minute, Farnborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winnie Harrison to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Woolton's goalkeeper Leroy Floyd had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Denny Holmes. Leroy Floyd showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tod Wardill, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Farnborough's Tod Wardill got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geoff Ansell in the 32nd minute of play forced Woolton's goalkeeper Leroy Floyd to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Owen Wilberforce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andre Cavanagh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Rowan Savage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Des Scott hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. The long shot by Ruben Knight in the 42nd minute really tested Leroy Floyd's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 47 minutes into the match, Andre Cavanagh notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Farnborough's Rowan Savage. Rowan Savage was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andre Cavanagh was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Farnborough's goalkeeper Rowan Savage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Owen Wilberforce. Malcolm Allwright hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 58th minute, Winnie Harrison left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Farnborough fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 65 minutes into the match, Farnborough's goalkeeper Rowan Savage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Owen Wilberforce. Andre Cavanagh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leroy Floyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Wardill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Owen Wilberforce got free with Rowan Savage in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Woolton defense, Denny Holmes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leroy Floyd. The Woolton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leroy Floyd should have stopped the shot. Leroy Floyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tod Wardill, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Woolton's Lance MacDonald got a free kick in the 85th minute. After 91 played minutes Woolton got a freekick which was hit by Derek Robson. Leroy Floyd came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Farnborough's Tod Wardill. But to his dismay, Tod Wardill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. In the 97th match minute, Woolton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Junior Ellerton to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Woolton players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Farnborough.
