Spectators: 7715 (Terracing: 5787, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 154) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Syd Townsend got the match started through his kick off. When Danny Banks came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Frinton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Danny Banks couldn't finish the play. In the 7th minute, Connor Waddington got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Frinton fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Frinton's Connor Waddington looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 16th minute, Shawn Clifford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Frinton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. After some careless play in the Weybridge defense, Shawn Clifford kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Garth Mead. The Weybridge fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Garth Mead should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Shawn Clifford in the 26th minute of play forced Weybridge's goalkeeper Garth Mead to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Garth Mead made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Connor Waddington in the 27th minute of play. When Billy Flintoff fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weybridge's protests and gave Billy Flintoff a yellow card for diving instead. Billy Flintoff kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Garth Mead showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Connor Waddington in the 30th minute of the match. Adam Morris recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Trey Almond's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sam Kennedy firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Syd Townsend fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Weybridge's protests and gave Syd Townsend a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Frinton booed when Weybridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Syd Townsend didn't get a good kick on the ball. Connor Waddington sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Connor Waddington to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Weybridge's goalkeeper Garth Mead had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Connor Waddington. Shawn Clifford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Garth Mead made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Connor Waddington sent off a good shot on target. Shawn Clifford received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Garth Mead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frinton's Connor Waddington pulled a muscle in his back after 60 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Rex Furlong's late challenge caught a Frinton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rex Furlong helped the player get up and apologised. Frinton made a substitution. Damien Short replaced Connor Waddington. In the 62nd match minute, Weybridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rex Furlong to maneuver through the defense. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Weybridge's goalkeeper Garth Mead, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Syd Townsend notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of Frinton's Sam Kennedy. Sam Kennedy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Adam Morris received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Garth Mead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Damien Short took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Garth Mead. Garth Mead dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-6. In the 76th match minute, Weybridge was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Flintoff to maneuver through the defense. The corner ended in Danny Banks almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Weybridge's Garth Mead did a great save. In the 81st minute, Trey Almond hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 86 minutes into the match, Weybridge's goalkeeper Garth Mead had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eddy Foster. Weybridge's Billy Flintoff got his second yellow card of the match in the 93rd minute. The referee ordered Billy Flintoff off the ground. After 94 played minutes Weybridge got a freekick which was hit by Billy Flintoff. The Weybridge fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Frinton were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
