Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rob Draper kicked off to start the match. Ron Sharpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Savage having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Big B United's zone, Tod Wardill stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Ellerton came out of the goal and Tod Wardill tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 7th minute, Kirk Parrott hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tod Wardill in the 8th minute of play forced Big B United's goalkeeper Andre Ellerton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rob Draper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Savage having to interfere. With a little luck, Farnborough's Rowan Savage got control of the ball when Ron Sharpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Tod Wardill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Farnborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Tod Wardill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andre Ellerton breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geoff Ansell charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geoff Ansell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Farnborough's Geoff Ansell got a free kick in the 28th minute. In the 29th minute, Ron Sharpe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rowan Savage was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Rowan Savage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rob Draper, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Denny Holmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Andre Ellerton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andre Ellerton stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tod Wardill's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Ron Sharpe in the 48thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rowan Savage, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Zaq Vaughan's late challenge caught a Farnborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zaq Vaughan helped the player get up and apologised. After 53 played minutes Big B United got a freekick which was hit by Zaq Vaughan. Denny Holmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Andre Ellerton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tod Wardill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andre Ellerton having to interfere. If Rob Draper had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 70th minute of the match Zaq Vaughan completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Zaq Vaughan a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Zaq Vaughan hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Ron Sharpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rowan Savage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sean Howden kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Ron Sharpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Savage having to interfere. The supporters of Big B United booed when Farnborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Winnie Harrison didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Sharpe in the 83rd minute of play forced Farnborough's goalkeeper Rowan Savage to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Ron Sharpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rowan Savage saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ron Sharpe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Rowan Savage tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Farnborough's Rowan Savage played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rob Draper in the 88th minute of play. Ron Sharpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rowan Savage having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Big B United's goal looked a bit too open when Tod Wardill came free, but Andre Ellerton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Big B United getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Rob Draper hit a great ball. Ron Sharpe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Big B United were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Farnborough for a fine match.
