The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute, Billy Flintoff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Syd Townsend fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Russ Webster having to interfere. After some careless play in the Knights of the Spring defense, Billy Flintoff kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Russ Webster. The Knights of the Spring fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Russ Webster should have stopped the shot. When Syd Townsend came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Weybridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Syd Townsend couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Edward Biernat managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knights of the Spring's supporters rose to their feet, but Edward Biernat was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Garth Mead breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Weybridge's goalkeeper Garth Mead, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Garth Mead made an important save on a dangerous shot by Micheal Goodman in the 27th minute. Garth Mead didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Micheal Goodman went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute, Micheal Goodman left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Knights of the Spring fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Edward Biernat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edward Biernat struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Garth Mead didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Knights of the Spring. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 6-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dom Halliday made the kick off in the second half. Micheal Goodman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Garth Mead having to make a save. When Edward Biernat came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Knights of the Spring fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Biernat couldn't finish the play. Syd Townsend hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Micheal Goodman charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Micheal Goodman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Weybridge booed when Knights of the Spring was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Micheal Goodman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Garth Mead stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Biernat's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. Weybridge's Garth Mead played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Micheal Goodman in the 63rd minute of play. Knights of the Spring's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Trey Almond was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 6-2. Edward Biernat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Weybridge's zone, Anthony Reid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garth Mead came out of the goal and Anthony Reid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dom Halliday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Garth Mead tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Billy Flintoff during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Weybridge's zone, Anthony Reid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Garth Mead came out of the goal and Anthony Reid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 93 minutes of play Weybridge's Billy Flintoff was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Weybridge's Billy Flintoff got a free kick in the 94th minute. Knights of the Spring's Dom Halliday got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Knights of the Spring were the better team. Knights of the Spring's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
