Spectators: 7481 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 100) Frinton's Connor Waddington started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Andre Cavanagh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Woolton's Leroy Floyd got control of the ball when Connor Waddington tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Frinton's goal looked a bit too open when Derek Robson came free, but Sam Kennedy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andre Cavanagh in the 9th minute of play forced Frinton's goalkeeper Sam Kennedy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leroy Floyd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Alderson in the 10th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, Woolton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christian Burns to maneuver through the defense. Andre Cavanagh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Sam Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Andre Cavanagh came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Woolton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Cavanagh couldn't finish the play. Sam Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacob Shuttleworth in the 32nd minute of the match. Woolton's Leroy Floyd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Morris in the 33rd minute of play. After 35 minutes of play, Frinton's Shawn Clifford made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Leroy Floyd was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andre Cavanagh's late challenge caught a Frinton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andre Cavanagh helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Woolton getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Andre Cavanagh hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Brendon Alderson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Leroy Floyd, 3-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Andre Cavanagh stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Leroy Floyd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eddy Foster in the 51st minute of play. Leroy Floyd took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Connor Waddington, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Derek Robson charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Derek Robson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Woolton getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Derek Robson hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Connor Waddington had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leroy Floyd. Woolton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Connor Waddington was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. 65 minutes into the game, Lee Pennant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Frinton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Woolton the free kick. In the 65th match minute, Frinton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee Pennant to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Frinton's Sam Kennedy got control of the ball when Owen Wilberforce tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Frinton's Billy Haylock got a free kick in the 74th minute. Andre Cavanagh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Sam Kennedy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Malcolm Pilgrim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Andre Cavanagh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sam Kennedy having to interfere. After 82 minutes of play, Woolton's Owen Wilberforce made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sam Kennedy was left in no man's land by his defense there! Andre Cavanagh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee ended the match the Frinton players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
