An unexpectedly hard shot by Byron Bull in the 11th minute of play forced Appleshaw FC's goalkeeper Dale Hough to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 12 minutes of play, Appleshaw FC's Warren Golding made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tim Bullard was left in no man's land by his defense there! 22 minutes into the match, Appleshaw FC's goal looked a bit too open when Franz Holmes came free, but Dale Hough reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute of the match, Warren Golding got a very nice opportunity to score, but Tim Bullard was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. The crowd rose to their feet as Appleshaw FC's Trev Lydiate slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tim Bullard. That made the score 4-0 after 30 minutes of play. Tim Bullard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trev Lydiate, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Trev Lydiate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tim Bullard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Bullard didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Appleshaw FC. Trev Lydiate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Bullard having to interfere. Trev Lydiate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Tim Bullard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tim Bullard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Warren Golding, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. In the 85th minute, Loyd Holyfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Trev Lydiate fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Bullard having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Byron Bull got free with Dale Hough in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Trev Lydiate took the ball and in the 97 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tim Bullard. Tim Bullard dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Appleshaw FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
