If Tommy Clarkson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 22 minutes into the match, Longridge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Evans came free, but Tim Bullard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Tommy Clarkson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Longridge AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Tommy Clarkson came free, but Tim Bullard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 29 minutes into the game, Tommy Clarkson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. In the 38th match minute, Beverley Saints F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Stone to maneuver through the defense. Byron Bulls short, quick shot in the 39thth minute got Stuart Sawyer to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Samuel Evans came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Beverley Saints F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Evans couldn't finish the play. After having played for 46 minutes, Samuel Evans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beverley Saints F.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Samuel Evans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Beverley Saints F.C. were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 67th minute, Ritchie Gale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gus Lawless took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stuart Sawyer. Beverley Saints F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Samuel Evans scored 0-4 in the 69th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tim Bullard, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tim Bullard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommy Clarkson, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. A collision led to Longridge AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Lucas Vaughn hit a great ball. Sammy Warden's late challenge caught a Beverley Saints F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sammy Warden helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Longridge AFC getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Sammy Warden hit a great ball. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. A collision led to Beverley Saints F.C. getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Colin Stone hit a great ball. If Franz Holmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Tommy Clarkson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Bullard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Loyd Holyfield kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Tim Bullard had great luck who in the 92ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Tommy Clarkson from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The Longridge AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Beverley Saints F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
