Frankie Moorhouse hit a great ball. Battersea's Buster Tyrell proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Battersea from getting a goal against them. Buster Tyrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Nelson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Billie Haines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Abbotts having to interfere. After 13 minutes, Daryl Robinson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chemik Pustkow and the Battersea players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Chemik Pustkow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daryl Robinson to maneuver through the defense. In the 15th minute, Dean Bibby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chemik Pustkow's Frankie Moorhouse got a free kick in the 17th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Wesley Nelson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Buster Tyrell, 1-1. Chemik Pustkow's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Battersea the free kick. After 52 played minutes Chemik Pustkow got a freekick which was hit by Ronnie Metcalfe. Den Vaughn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. When Wesley Nelson fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
