Spectators: 6834 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1834, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Leo Dearden took the kick off in the first half of the match. Vernon Drysdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cullompton United's Leo Dearden got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evolution's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Leo Dearden 12 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. In the 16th minute Chesney Stonehouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristopher Wrigley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Dearden kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Jeffrey Colley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Len Knight's late challenge caught a Evolution's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Len Knight helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Len Knight hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kristopher Wrigley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jeffrey Colley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tristan Monkman charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tristan Monkman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tristan Monkman hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Kristopher Wrigley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeffrey Colley, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. If Chesney Stonehouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeffrey Colley made a kick off. In the 54th minute Leo Dearden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grant Rooney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Evolution's goal looked a bit too open when Len Knight came free, but Grant Rooney reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Christopher Swinscoe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cullompton United's Kristopher Wrigley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeffrey Colley in the 63rd minute of play. When Christopher Swinscoe fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cullompton United's protests and gave Christopher Swinscoe a yellow card for diving instead. In the 64th match minute, Cullompton United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christopher Swinscoe to maneuver through the defense. Vern Deeney, 65 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 66 played minutes Cullompton United got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Thorne. Grant Rooney didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Len Knight went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Kristopher Wrigley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jeffrey Colley in the 75th minute of the match. When Kristian Thorne was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 76 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Cullompton United's Kristian Thorne got a free kick in the 77th minute. If Jeffrey Colley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kristopher Wrigley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chesney Stonehouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Len Knight managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cullompton United's supporters rose to their feet, but Len Knight was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Grant Rooney breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Matthew Dimmock's late challenge caught a Evolution's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Dimmock helped the player get up and apologised. Vern Deeney recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kristopher Wrigley made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Trevor Fairbank sent off a good shot on target. Evolution's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cullompton United had won, even though Evolution had held more of the ball.
