Tod Batty hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Ronnie Metcalfe charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronnie Metcalfe the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th minute, Ronnie Metcalfe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joseph Jump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frankie Moorhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daryl Robinson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Joseph Jump made a huge save. Joseph Jump showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frankie Moorhouse in the 19th minute of the match. Joseph Jump made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Ronnie Metcalfe sent off a good shot on target. Frankie Moorhouse received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Joseph Jump tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ronnie Metcalfe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute Frankie Moorhouse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Jump saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronnie Metcalfe got free with Joseph Jump in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Joseph Jump was out of position in the 36 minute of play, and Frankie Moorhouse capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Frankie Moorhouse really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 40th minute, Frankie Moorhouse reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Joseph Jump. The goal made the score 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Frankie Moorhouse made the kick off in the second half. Shoreham by Sea's Joseph Jump played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daryl Robinson in the 56th minute of play. In the 57th minute of the match Ronan Cusack shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joseph Jump showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Chemik Pustkow's Frankie Moorhouse in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Shoreham by Sea's goalie prevented a goal. Kristian Swanson's late challenge caught a Chemik Pustkow's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kristian Swanson helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Shoreham by Sea's Kristian Swanson got a free kick in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Clayton in the 72nd minute of play forced Chemik Pustkow's goalkeeper Jonathan Abbotts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 82 minutes, Tod Batty mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shoreham by Sea and the Chemik Pustkow players grew even worse after the yellow card. Chemik Pustkow's Ronnie Metcalfe got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronnie Metcalfe in the 86th minute of play forced Shoreham by Sea's goalkeeper Joseph Jump to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joseph Jump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frankie Moorhouse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 88 minutes, Daryl Robinson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chemik Pustkow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daryl Robinson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Chemik Pustkow fully deserved thier win.
