Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Stu Jordan got the match started through his kick off. Joseph Jump made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerry Lamb in the 5th minute of play. Joseph Jump made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stu Jordan in the 9th minute of play. Donny Phimister showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ron Clayton in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Owen Barfield in the 15th minute of play forced East Molesey's goalkeeper Donny Phimister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 19 in the game by Geoff Beck from a close distance when the talented Donny Phimister managed to make a qualified save. East Molesey's players were relieved. After having played for 21 minutes, Ron Clayton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shoreham by Sea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ron Clayton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Ron Clayton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ron Clayton in the 25th minute of play forced East Molesey's goalkeeper Donny Phimister to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot by Spike Hughes from long distance, 27 minutes into the match, got Donny Phimister's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Joseph Jump showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stu Jordan, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 30th minute, Dion Culverhouse hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Donny Phimister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Owen Barfield, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. East Molesey's Donny Phimister played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ron Clayton in the 33rd minute of play. With a little luck, East Molesey's Donny Phimister got control of the ball when Owen Barfield tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of East Molesey booed when Shoreham by Sea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ron Clayton didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 37 minutes, Stu Jordan put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Joseph Jump. 43 minutes into the game, East Molesey's Stu Jordan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Joseph Jump made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. In the 47th minute Stu Jordan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joseph Jump saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Jerry Lamb who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 57thth minute tested the skills of Joseph Jump when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Stu Jordan in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joseph Jump prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Laurence Nelson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joseph Jump showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stu Jordan, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Joseph Jump took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stu Jordan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jordan Eadan charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jordan Eadan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Shoreham by Sea getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jordan Eadan hit a great ball. Jerry Lamb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Jump having to interfere. In the 72nd minute Ron Clayton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donny Phimister saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Laurence Nelson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 73 minutes of play, Shoreham by Sea's Geoff Beck made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donny Phimister was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ronny Pack hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. East Molesey's Sidney Stonehouse got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 79th play minute Jerry Lamb came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Joseph Jump. 1-3. Jerry Lamb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joseph Jump having to interfere. Owen Barfield fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donny Phimister having to interfere. East Molesey played a much better game than Shoreham by Sea and deserved their victory. The Shoreham by Sea players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
