Marc Byfield hit a great ball. Crispin Collingwood fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dom Cullen having to interfere. In the 22nd minute Marty Higginson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mike Walters saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mike Walters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marty Higginson went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 36 minutes into the game, Huddersfield FC's Roy Gower nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mike Walters made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Higginson in the 40th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Gower in the 42nd minute of play forced Boscastle's goalkeeper Mike Walters to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Walters didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vince Adcock went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Roy Gower made a kick off. In the 51st minute of the match, Vince Adcock got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mike Walters was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Marty Higginson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Boscastle's Mike Walters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Gower in the 61st minute of play. Dom Cullen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alastair Harris in the 64th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Roy Gower took a quick shot and it went in 0-4 without a chance for Mike Walters to make any attempt to save it. In the 71st minute, Crispin Collingwood got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Grant Higgins during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Grant Higgins hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute, Bradley Rusby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 82nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Huddersfield FC's goalkeeper Dom Cullen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Conan Edmunds received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Dom Cullen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th match minute, Huddersfield FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl Picker to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Alastair Harris made a precise shot to the right of Dom Cullen. Huddersfield FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. After a defensive mix-up in Boscastle's zone, Karl Picker stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mike Walters came out of the goal and Karl Picker tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chants of Huddersfield FC echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Boscastle had held the ball for most of the match.
