Leon Cross hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Conan Edmunds ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steven Carey-Bertram was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Timperley United booed when Boscastle was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grant Higgins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boscastle's Mike Walters played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jack Noble in the 29th minute of play. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jack Noble in the 35th minute of the match. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alan Longstaff to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Boscastle's goalkeeper Mike Walters, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 57 minutes into the match, Timperley United's goalkeeper Steven Carey-Bertram had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Don McGrath. Mike Walters showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fraser Cooper in the 58th minute of the match. Mike Walters showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Noble, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Don McGrath was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Boscastle's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Alastair Harris took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Steven Carey-Bertram to make any attempt to save it.
