The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 6th match minute, Timperley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fraser Cooper to maneuver through the defense. Steven Carey-Bertram acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 7th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Norman Farrow. With a little luck, Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram got control of the ball when Norman Farrow tried to sneak it across the goal line. Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Timperley United from getting a goal against them. After 16 played minutes Timperley United got a freekick which was hit by Ty Challis. Through an outstanding action, after 20 minutes, Steven Carey-Bertram successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Timperley United from getting a goal against them. Steven Carey-Bertram showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Scargill, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Brighton in the 26th minute of play. Steven Carey-Bertram yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Alan Longstaff scored 2-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brian Meechan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jack Noble fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brian Meechan having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Norman Farrow was the one to do the kick off. Kristian Brighton scored 3-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steven Carey-Bertram, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brian Meechan made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Alastair Noble sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, I Love You Debra's Norman Farrow got a free kick in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alan Longstaff in the 61st minute of play forced I Love You Debra's goalkeeper Brian Meechan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Norman Farrow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 68th minute, I Love You Debra's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alastair Noble fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Timperley United's Steven Carey-Bertram played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Farrow in the 74th minute of play. Steven Carey-Bertram came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by I Love You Debra's Kristian Brighton. But to his dismay, Kristian Brighton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Brian Meechan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jack Noble in the 87th minute. Steven Carey-Bertram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Brighton in the 93rd minute of play. Brian Meechan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Longstaff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Brendon Scargill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Timperley United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
