Gary Gerrard blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrian Grainger having to make a save. The supporters of Barnetby Le Wold booed when FC Muie Steaua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lennie Dalby didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute Ralph Burley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Perry Speight saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Ralph Burley took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Perry Speight to make any attempt to save it. After a defensive mix-up in FC Muie Steaua's zone, Ralph Burley stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perry Speight came out of the goal and Ralph Burley tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dane Holdroyd could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Perry Speight made a huge save. Perry Speight made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Huey Hay in the 31st minute of play. Perry Speight made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Burley in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when John Harkin got free with Perry Speight in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gary Gerrard to strike the kick off in the second half. FC Muie Steaua's Pat Prince managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Chip Mowlem in the 52 minute of the game. 54 minutes into the match, FC Muie Steaua's goal looked a bit too open when John Harkin came free, but Perry Speight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Muie Steaua's Perry Speight played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Harkin in the 56th minute of play. John Harkin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Perry Speight took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from John Harkin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Perry Speight didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dane Holdroyd went, in the 66th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. The throw-in from Jack Ingram in the 70th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by FC Muie Steaua's Frankie Bean. Adrian Grainger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pat Prince went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the match, FC Muie Steaua's goal looked a bit too open when Ralph Burley came free, but Perry Speight reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 78thth minute of the game John Harkin who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Muie Steaua's Perry Speight was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dane Holdroyd in the 79th minute of play forced FC Muie Steaua's goalkeeper Perry Speight to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perry Speight showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huey Hay, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Barnetby Le Wold's Ralph Burley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Perry Speight made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When Pat Prince came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the FC Muie Steaua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pat Prince couldn't finish the play. Jack Ingram made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by FC Muie Steaua's Huey Fairs. Gary Gerrard kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Damion Shuttleworth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 97 minutes into the match, Dane Holdroyd had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Perry Speight. FC Muie Steaua's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dane Holdroyd was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. There was no doubt that Barnetby Le Wold were the better team. Barnetby Le Wold's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
