Spectators: 7469 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1869, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when John Paul Holmes kicked off to start the match. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tosh Swain came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Bognor Regis's Neil Barnes. But to his dismay, Neil Barnes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. After having played for 17 minutes, Hugh Eldridge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bognor Regis's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugh Eldridge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, Bognor Regis's Neil Barnes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tosh Swain made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 25 minutes into the match, Stratton City's goal looked a bit too open when Jude Bonham came free, but Tosh Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stratton City's Tosh Swain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodney Mason in the 29th minute of play. Stratton City's Tosh Swain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Stratton City from getting a goal against them. Hugh Eldridge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Tosh Swain made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jude Bonham in the 48th minute of play forced Stratton City's goalkeeper Tosh Swain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Neil Barnes was the one to do the kick off. Tosh Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jude Bonham, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes, Jude Bonham made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Stratton City's Tosh Swain tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After some careless play in the Stratton City defense, Neil Barnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tosh Swain. The Stratton City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tosh Swain should have stopped the shot. 60 minutes into the match, Jude Bonham notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Stratton City's Tosh Swain. Tosh Swain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Tosh Swain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jude Bonham in the 67th minute of the match. The Bognor Regis fans' excitement grew in the 68th match minute when Bognor Regis's Jude Bonham looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 6-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 71st minute, Hugh Eldridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brynn Kennedy during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 73rd match minute, Stratton City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brynn Kennedy to maneuver through the defense. In the 75th minute, Rodney Mason made a precise shot to the right of Tosh Swain. Stratton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Jude Bonham scored 8-0 in the 79th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tosh Swain, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 83rd minute, Neil Barnes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tosh Swain was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Tosh Swain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodney Mason, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bognor Regis's Neil Barnes got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tosh Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jude Bonham, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
