Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 100) Barnetby Le Wold's John Harkin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Barnetby Le Wold's Adrian Grainger got control of the ball when Neil Barnes tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match, Neil Barnes got a very nice opportunity to score, but Adrian Grainger was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 10th minute, Dane Holdroyd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Barnetby Le Wold booed when Bognor Regis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jude Bonham didn't get a good kick on the ball. 18 minutes into the game, Barrie Stamer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnetby Le Wold's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bognor Regis the free kick. The supporters of Bognor Regis booed when Barnetby Le Wold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Stamer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 23rd minute when Jude Bonham elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Bognor Regis's Edward Cheetham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ralph Burley in the 27th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Barnetby Le Wold got a freekick which was hit by Ralph Burley. In the 33rd minute, Carl Crane hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pierre Welsh, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Edward Cheetham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ralph Burley in the 36th minute of play. Edward Cheetham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ralph Burley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes Barnetby Le Wold got a freekick which was hit by Dane Holdroyd. After 45 played minutes Bognor Regis got a freekick which was hit by Jude Bonham. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Neil Barnes to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Neil Barnes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bognor Regis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Jude Bonham sped through Barnetby Le Wold's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Adrian Grainger. In the 64th match minute, Bognor Regis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chesney Harrison to maneuver through the defense. 66 minutes into the match, Barnetby Le Wold's goal looked a bit too open when Jude Bonham came free, but Adrian Grainger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute Jude Bonham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Grainger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Neil Barnes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Grainger having to interfere. Bognor Regis made a substitution. Hugh Eldridge replaced Gaz Deaconsfield. After having played for 73 minutes, John Harkin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barnetby Le Wold's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Harkin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrian Grainger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jude Bonham in the 75th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 78th minute of the game. One of Barnetby Le Wold:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Bognor Regis:s goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jude Bonham in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adrian Grainger saved Barnetby Le Wold from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Neil Barnes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bognor Regis's supporters rose to their feet, but Neil Barnes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adrian Grainger breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Barnetby Le Wold's Adrian Grainger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Neil Barnes in the 87th minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Barnetby Le Wold's goal looked a bit too open when Neil Barnes came free, but Adrian Grainger reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute Neil Barnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Grainger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrian Grainger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jude Bonham, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ralph Burley during the 97th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bognor Regis booed when Barnetby Le Wold was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ralph Burley didn't get a good kick on the ball.
