Spectators: 8007 (Terracing: 6007, Seating: 1841, VIP seats: 159) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alastair Sugden kicked off to start the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rowan Hellen during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Helsby United's Rowan Hellen got a free kick in the 5th minute. Armando Quadros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Helsby United's zone, Alastair Sugden stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Louis Roche came out of the goal and Alastair Sugden tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Helsby United getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Huey Hinchcliffe hit a great ball. When Huey Hinchcliffe fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Helsby United's protests and gave Huey Hinchcliffe a yellow card for diving instead. Vinicio Vitin came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Helsby United's Piers Postolan. But to his dismay, Piers Postolan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 30th match minute, Helsby United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Piers Postolan to maneuver through the defense. In the 36th minute Graeme Jobling shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Vitin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Piers Postolan in the 40th minute of play forced Roehampton Raptors's goalkeeper Vinicio Vitin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vinicio Vitin came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Helsby United's Huey Hinchcliffe. But to his dismay, Huey Hinchcliffe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

After a rather tough play, Roehampton Raptors's Nial Hughes got a free kick in the 55th minute. Roehampton Raptors's Vinicio Vitin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Piers Postolan in the 57th minute of play. Grant Britton took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 68th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Vinicio Vitin. Roehampton Raptors's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Graeme Jobling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 73 minutes into the match, Roehampton Raptors's goalkeeper Vinicio Vitin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Graeme Jobling. After some careless play in the Roehampton Raptors defense, Piers Postolan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vinicio Vitin. The Roehampton Raptors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vinicio Vitin should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Roehampton Raptors booed when Helsby United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Piers Postolan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pedro Jones made in the 95th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Huey Hinchcliffe immediately put the ball in play. Helsby United were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Roehampton Raptors's much stronger midfield.
