Bolton's supporters rose to their feet, but Owen Giles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marlon Darnbrooke breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marlon Darnbrooke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Owen Giles in the 12th minute. After a rather tough play, Bolton's Jo Gomersall got a free kick in the 14th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gaz Breeden was the one to do the kick off. Bolton's Daniel Marriott proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Bolton from getting a goal against them. Daniel Marriott showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Clarke in the 56th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Barney Beadle during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gaz Breeden made in the 75th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Sammy Dewhirst. Marlon Darnbrooke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Garth Allison, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Daniel Marriott made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marty Clarke in the 88th minute. 90 minutes into the match, Bolton's goalkeeper Daniel Marriott had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sammy Dewhirst.
