Rob Bland's late challenge caught a Pallet Town FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rob Bland helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Pallet Town FC booed when Swanage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rob Bland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jim Barat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Kris Le Tissier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dominik Goodman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kris Le Tissier having to make a save. Nicky Wicks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jim Barat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kris Le Tissier having to interfere. Kris Le Tissier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Horsell in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nicky Wicks made a kick off. Kyle Hall charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kyle Hall the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Pallet Town FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Kyle Hall hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Nicky Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swanage's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicky Wicks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Daniel Longthorn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Pallet Town FC's Jim Barat got a free kick in the 56th minute. Kris Le Tissier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kyle Hall, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frankie Horsell in the 64th minute of play forced Swanage's goalkeeper Kris Le Tissier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes Swanage got a freekick which was hit by Kev Blythe. Kris Le Tissier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frankie Horsell in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes had been played when some careless play by Swanage's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kyle Hall was slow to take the kick. During this time Pallet Town FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Kyle Hall almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Swanage's Kris Le Tissier did a great save. In the 71st minute, Frankie Horsell made a precise shot to the right of Kris Le Tissier. Swanage's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. 87 minutes into the match, Kyle Hall had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kris Le Tissier. Swanage's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kyle Hall was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Kris Le Tissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyle Hall, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Pallet Town FC were the better team. Pallet Town FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
