The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nicky Wicks made the kick off which started today's match. Jools Merrill lost his temper 6 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Swanage! An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaz Breeden in the 12th minute of play forced Swanage's goalkeeper Kris Le Tissier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sammy Dewhirst in the 13th minute of play forced Swanage's goalkeeper Kris Le Tissier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kris Le Tissier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaz Breeden, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute, Sammy Dewhirst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chiswick fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Kris Le Tissier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sammy Dewhirst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chip Todd fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marlon Darnbrooke having to interfere. In the 22nd minute, Gaz Breeden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kris Le Tissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Dewhirst, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Swanage's goal looked a bit too open when Gaz Breeden came free, but Kris Le Tissier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kris Le Tissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sammy Dewhirst, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Gaz Breeden took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kris Le Tissier. Kris Le Tissier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Kris Le Tissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marty Clarke, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sammy Dewhirst in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kris Le Tissier saved Swanage from getting behind.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gaz Breeden to strike the kick off in the second half. Kris Le Tissier made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Sammy Dewhirst sent off a good shot on target. After 55 minutes, James Boulton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Swanage and the Chiswick players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chiswick booed when Swanage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. James Boulton didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute, Sammy Dewhirst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chiswick fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-5. After some careless play in the Swanage defense, Marty Clarke kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kris Le Tissier. The Swanage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kris Le Tissier should have stopped the shot. Sammy Dewhirst took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kris Le Tissier. Kris Le Tissier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. If Johnathon Durrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute, Sammy Dewhirst got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gaz Breeden in the 80th minute of play forced Swanage's goalkeeper Kris Le Tissier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the match, William Slade notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Swanage's Kris Le Tissier. Kris Le Tissier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kris Le Tissier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marty Clarke in the 84th minute. A collision led to Chiswick getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Marty Clarke hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sammy Dewhirst got free with Kris Le Tissier in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chiswick's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
