Owen Giles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Garth Allison's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Warren Hargraves was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Garth Allison managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bolton's supporters rose to their feet, but Garth Allison was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Warren Hargraves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Bakewell getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Darren Worth hit a great ball. Garth Allison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Warren Hargraves having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Bakewell's goalkeeper Warren Hargraves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Garth Allison. Bolton's Luke Bridgewater managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Darren Worth in the 72 minute of the game. Daniel Marriott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wes Henderson in the 74th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garth Allison got free with Warren Hargraves in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Garth Allison who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Warren Hargraves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Justin Kenna charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Justin Kenna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Justin Kenna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Garth Allison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. Bakewell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bolton the free kick. After 89 played minutes Bakewell got a freekick which was hit by Wes Henderson. After a defensive mix-up in Bakewell's zone, Garth Allison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Warren Hargraves came out of the goal and Garth Allison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Bolton left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Bakewell.
