With his leg Warren Hargraves managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Junior Owls Project's Austin Marchant fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A hard shot 7 in the game by Austin Marchant from a close distance when the talented Warren Hargraves managed to make a qualified save. Bakewell's players were relieved. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Junior Owls Project! Don Shaw shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 15th minute, George Doughty got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Junior Owls Project's Philip Branch got a free kick in the 21st minute. Warren Hargraves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Doughty, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Bakewell's Warren Hargraves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Bakewell from getting a goal against them. 34 minutes into the game, George Doughty recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Warren Hargraves. George Doughty showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 38 minutes into the match, Junior Owls Project's goal looked a bit too open when Rich Armstrong came free, but Jasper Harding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When George Doughty came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Junior Owls Project fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Doughty couldn't finish the play. In the 45th minute, Dennis Robson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rich Armstrong to make the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match Bakewell got a corner. Junior Owls Project's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Don Shaw ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Bakewell's corner Don Shaw fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Jasper Harding quite easily take care of the ball. Bakewell's Wes Henderson got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. George Doughty struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Warren Hargraves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Junior Owls Project. Jasper Harding showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich Armstrong, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Austin Marchant in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Warren Hargraves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute, Austin Marchant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 87 minutes, Mattias Thackray mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bakewell and the Junior Owls Project players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Bakewell was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Thackray to maneuver through the defense. 96 minutes into the match, Bakewell's Wes Henderson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jasper Harding narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Junior Owls Project walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
