Swanage
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Nicky Wicks got the match started through his kick off. If Curtis Browning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 12 minutes Swanage's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Neil Barkley who took care of the corner kick. Curtis Browning sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 17 minutes into the match, Curtis Browning notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Swanage's Kris Le Tissier. Kris Le Tissier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kris Le Tissier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curtis Browning, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Swanage's goal looked a bit too open when Toby Almond came free, but Kris Le Tissier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kris Le Tissier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curtis Browning in the 25th minute of the match. Orson Lawton scored 0-2 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kris Le Tissier, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Kris Le Tissier made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Booker in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Swanage's goal looked a bit too open when Curtis Browning came free, but Kris Le Tissier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 39th minute, Vance Ingham hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd match minute, Wokingham was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graeme Castleton to maneuver through the defense. Kris Le Tissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joe Booker, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Jools Merrill kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 52nd minute of the match, Neil Barkley got a very nice opportunity to score, but Kris Le Tissier was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With a little luck, Swanage's Kris Le Tissier got control of the ball when Joe Booker tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Swanage booed when Wokingham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shane Sutherland didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 62nd minute Curtis Browning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Le Tissier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Nicky Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swanage's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicky Wicks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Phil Timmins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 65 minutes, Nicky Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swanage's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicky Wicks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Joe Booker left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Wokingham fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Kris Le Tissier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joe Booker in the 72nd minute of the match. Jools Merrill hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Joe Booker took the ball and in the 77 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kris Le Tissier. Kris Le Tissier dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Nicky Wicks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Phil Timmins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Phil Timmins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chip Todd in the 90th minute of play. 93 minutes into the game, Swanage's Nicky Wicks nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Phil Timmins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-4. Wokingham played a much better game than Swanage and deserved their victory. The Swanage players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
