Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Will Burgess got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Hale's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Wicks came free, but Ashley Harding reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Hale getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Huey Beckford hit a great ball. Nicky Wicks fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Harding having to interfere. With an all-out effort, Hale's Kris Le Tissier threw himself towards the right post 9 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Will Burgess, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. If Chip Todd had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kris Le Tissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Huey Beckford, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Will Burgess reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kris Le Tissier. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Garry Draper in the 23rd minute of play forced Swanage's goalkeeper Kris Le Tissier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robin Eadan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Kris Le Tissier made a huge save. In the 31st minute Will Burgess shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kris Le Tissier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 34 minutes, Nicky Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Swanage's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicky Wicks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Nelson hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Kris Le Tissier was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Robin Eadan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. Kris Le Tissier made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Huey Beckford sent off a good shot on target. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.
With a little luck, Hale's Ashley Harding got control of the ball when Nicky Wicks tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicky Wicks's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ashley Harding read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huey Beckford in the 64th minute of play forced Swanage's goalkeeper Kris Le Tissier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th minute, Huey Beckford left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Kris Le Tissier came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Hale's Huey Beckford. But to his dismay, Huey Beckford quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Nicky Wicks managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swanage's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicky Wicks was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ashley Harding breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Swanage's Kris Le Tissier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Huey Beckford in the 81st minute of play. Kris Le Tissier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Burgess, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Kris Le Tissier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robin Eadan in the 90th minute of the match. In the 91st minute, Will Burgess left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hale fully deserved thier win.
