Huey Beckford's late challenge caught a Bolton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Huey Beckford helped the player get up and apologised. After 15 played minutes Hale got a freekick which was hit by Huey Beckford. After a defensive mix-up in Hale's zone, Garth Allison stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ashley Harding came out of the goal and Garth Allison tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 27 in the game by Garth Allison from a close distance when the talented Ashley Harding managed to make a qualified save. Hale's players were relieved. 28 minutes into the match, Hale's Robin Eadan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Daniel Marriott narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Marriott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Eadan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Garth Allison fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ashley Harding having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Garth Allison put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Ashley Harding. Garry Draper hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Garth Allison got free with Ashley Harding in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Owen Giles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Daniel Marriott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Burgess, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Garth Allison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 56 minutes of play Hale's Huey Beckford was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Huey Beckford kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Dominic Cotton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Ashley Harding tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Garth Allison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ashley Harding showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Owen Giles in the 66th minute of the match. When Owen Giles came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Bolton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Owen Giles couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Bolton:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Hale:s goal. In the 80th minute, Barney Beadle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bolton's Jo Gomersall managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rodney Cousins in the 82 minute of the game. In the 89th minute, Garth Allison ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ashley Harding was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Garth Allison in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ashley Harding prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Daniel Marriott made a fantastic save in the 98th minute, when Robin Eadan sent off a good shot on target. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Bolton had played much better football throughout.
