Erwin Schrödinger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Rufus Marchant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Purple Cobras getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Jimmy Le Tissier hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Erwin Schrödinger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rufus Marchant was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. In the 78th match minute, Purple Cobras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Read to maneuver through the defense. The Purple Cobras fans cheered their team off the field, for while Carlisle United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
