Pang Zheng Zhen made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Abraham Bartlett sent off a good shot on target. In the 16th minute Brendon Winstanley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pang Zheng Zhen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pang Zheng Zhen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brendon Winstanley in the 22nd minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Matthias Kirchberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Broadgreen FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Darwen the free kick. After having played for 25 minutes, Ty Turnbull managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ty Turnbull was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Darwen booed when Broadgreen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Casey Noble didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Broadgreen FC's Matthias Kirchberg got a free kick in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendon Winstanley in the 29th minute of play forced Broadgreen FC's goalkeeper Pang Zheng Zhen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ty Turnbull took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pang Zheng Zhen. Pang Zheng Zhen dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 35 minutes, Pang Zheng Zhen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 35 played minutes Darwen got a freekick which was hit by Ty Turnbull. Broadgreen FC's Pang Zheng Zhen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Broadgreen FC from getting a goal against them. Ty Turnbull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pang Zheng Zhen having to interfere. Pang Zheng Zhen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brendon Winstanley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendon Winstanley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Pang Zheng Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Broadgreen FC's Pang Zheng Zhen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Broadgreen FC from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Casey Noble stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ty Turnbull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ed Kenworthy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brendon Winstanley in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pang Zheng Zhen saved Broadgreen FC from getting behind. Pang Zheng Zhen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ty Turnbull in the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 62 minutes, Ed Kenworthy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Darwen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ed Kenworthy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Brendon Winstanley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Pang Zheng Zhen was relentless in the 63rd minute of the game. 66 minutes into the match, Ty Turnbull had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pang Zheng Zhen. Broadgreen FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ty Turnbull was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ty Turnbull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Pang Zheng Zhen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute Casey Noble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brendon Edworthy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brendon Winstanley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 90th minute of the match Denzil Connell shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pang Zheng Zhen showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pang Zheng Zhen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Turnbull, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Darwen had played much better football throughout.
