Thanks to some nice moves Abraham Bartlett could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Seb Green however easily saved by the left post. Seb Green showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brendon Winstanley, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. After 9 minutes, Abraham Bartlett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darwen and the Jagiellonia United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 9 played minutes Darwen got a freekick which was hit by Abraham Bartlett. Garry Duke struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Brendon Edworthy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jagiellonia United. Ty Turnbull could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Seb Green made a huge save. In the 16th match minute, Jagiellonia United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfie Hammett to maneuver through the defense. Garry Duke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brendon Edworthy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. Darwen's Abraham Bartlett got his second yellow card of the match in the 19th minute. The referee ordered Abraham Bartlett off the ground. After a rather tough play, Darwen's Abraham Bartlett got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Darwen's zone, Alfie Hammett stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brendon Edworthy came out of the goal and Alfie Hammett tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ty Turnbull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Jagiellonia United's goalkeeper Seb Green had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ty Turnbull. Jagiellonia United's Seb Green proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Jagiellonia United from getting a goal against them. Ed Kenworthy blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Seb Green having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Seal in the 40th minute of play forced Darwen's goalkeeper Brendon Edworthy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ty Turnbull sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Darwen's Ty Turnbull got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Garry Duke to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Garry Duke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jagiellonia United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Garry Duke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darwen's Brendon Edworthy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Darwen from getting a goal against them. Seb Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Turnbull in the 56th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Ty Turnbull notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Jagiellonia United's Seb Green. Seb Green was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 62 played minutes Jagiellonia United got a freekick which was hit by Perry Constable. Rupert Boothroyd kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Seb Green showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Turnbull, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Jagiellonia United's zone, Ty Turnbull stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seb Green came out of the goal and Ty Turnbull tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ed Kenworthy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Seb Green made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ty Turnbull in the 73rd minute of play. Ash Ellis charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ash Ellis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ash Ellis hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Ty Turnbull shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Seb Green saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Alfie Hammett hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ty Turnbull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Seb Green tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jagiellonia United's Seb Green played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ty Turnbull in the 84th minute of play. If Ty Turnbull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Ed Kenworthy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Seb Green was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Garry Duke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jagiellonia United's supporters rose to their feet, but Garry Duke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Brendon Edworthy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jagiellonia United's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
