Freedom's Dylan Duckworth proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Freedom from getting a goal against them. 6 minutes into the match, Donald Hellen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dylan Duckworth. Freedom's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Donald Hellen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Freedom's Keanu Harban got a free kick in the 8th minute. After 12 minutes, Gaz Webster mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Freedom and the Carlisle United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaz Webster hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the game, Adam Fronczak cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Rufus Marchant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Adam Fronczak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 26th minute, Carlisle United's Ronnie Hylton dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. The audience was convinced that Adam Fronczak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rufus Marchant was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Dylan Duckworth came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Carlisle United's Donald Hellen. But to his dismay, Donald Hellen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Freddy Blacknell kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dylan Duckworth. That made the score 4-1 in the 37 minute of play. In the 41st minute, Ronnie Hylton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronnie Hylton to strike the kick off in the second half. Donald Hellen took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dylan Duckworth. Dylan Duckworth dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. Dylan Duckworth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronnie Hylton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnathon Hamilton's late challenge caught a Freedom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Johnathon Hamilton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Carlisle United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johnathon Hamilton to maneuver through the defense. Adam Fronczak who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 62ndth minute tested the skills of Rufus Marchant when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ronnie Hylton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joshua Bedford kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Freedom's Clive Bourton got a free kick in the 71st minute. In the 79th minute Ronnie Hylton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dylan Duckworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Freedom's zone, Donald Hellen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dylan Duckworth came out of the goal and Donald Hellen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Donald Hellen made a precise shot to the right of Dylan Duckworth. Freedom's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. 94 minutes into the match, Freedom's goal looked a bit too open when Donald Hellen came free, but Dylan Duckworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clive Bourton kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donald Hellen in the 97th minute of play forced Freedom's goalkeeper Dylan Duckworth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee ended the match the Carlisle United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
