Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Eric Welsh started the match with the kick off. Dale Cole showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Norman Fry, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Eric Welsh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eric Welsh during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Malmesbury's Eric Welsh got a free kick in the 15th minute. Andy Reading recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Oliver Christensen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Wardell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Malmesbury's Oliver Christensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mike Wardell in the 21st minute of play. Mike Wardell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Crazy Bastards FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Tosh Furlong hit a great ball. Kev Freeman was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 34th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Rodd Snowdon kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. In the 38th match minute, Crazy Bastards FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andy Reading to maneuver through the defense. Oliver Christensen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Reading, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. When Mike Wardell came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Crazy Bastards FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mike Wardell couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Malmesbury's Maciej Mielcarz got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Andy Reading struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Oliver Christensen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crazy Bastards FC. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andy Reading made a kick off. Oliver Christensen made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Mike Wardell sent off a good shot on target. When Andy Reading fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crazy Bastards FC's protests and gave Andy Reading a yellow card for diving instead. Andy Reading hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. A collision led to Crazy Bastards FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Mike Wardell hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mike Wardell in the 61st minute of play forced Malmesbury's goalkeeper Oliver Christensen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mike Wardell struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Oliver Christensen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Crazy Bastards FC. When Rodd Snowdon fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Crazy Bastards FC's protests and gave Rodd Snowdon a yellow card for diving instead. Mike Wardell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Christensen having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Andy Reading hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 85 played minutes Crazy Bastards FC got a freekick which was hit by Mike Wardell. Gus Power sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Malmesbury's Gwyn Bartlett got a free kick in the 89th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Crazy Bastards FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
