Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Eric Welsh took the kick off in the first half of the match. The supporters of Pretorians booed when Malmesbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Özen Cesimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rod Thurman's late challenge caught a Pretorians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rod Thurman helped the player get up and apologised. 3 minutes into the game, one of Malmesbury:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Daniel Mansell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pretorians's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Mansell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Christensen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felix Farrow in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Christensen saved Malmesbury from getting behind. In the 16th minute Daniel Mansell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Christensen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes Pretorians got a freekick which was hit by Philip Kalischer. Malmesbury's Oliver Christensen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Mansell in the 24th minute of play. Oliver Christensen came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Pretorians's Daniel Mansell. But to his dismay, Daniel Mansell quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After 46 minutes, Daniel Mansell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pretorians and the Malmesbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Mansell hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Daniel Mansell made the kick off in the second half. 0-3 became the score in the 52nd minute when Daniel Mansell elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Eric Welsh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tony Folan having to make a save. Norman Fry recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eric Welsh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tony Folan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ray Fitzgerald's late challenge caught a Pretorians's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ray Fitzgerald helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Malmesbury's Ray Fitzgerald got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 75 played minutes Pretorians got a freekick which was hit by Philip Kalischer. Daniel Mansell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Christensen having to interfere. Daniel Mansell did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Oliver Christensen 85 minutes into the match. If Daniel Mansell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Malmesbury manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Pretorians to win.
