Rodd Armitage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicky Fitter, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute, Daryl Leadbeater got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, AEK ATHENS's goal looked a bit too open when Nicky Fitter came free, but Rodd Armitage reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rodd Armitage took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daryl Leadbeater, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Johnathan Cousins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jeremy Holloway, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. 24 minutes into the game, Carl Bamford was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicky Fitter in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodd Armitage prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rodd Armitage made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicky Fitter in the 47th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nicky Fitter to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Jeremy Holloway who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Stony Stratford FC's Johnathan Cousins was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 52 minutes into the game, Ty Laycock was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stony Stratford FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AEK ATHENS the free kick. A collision led to Stony Stratford FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ty Laycock hit a great ball. If Tamás Honti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Daryl Leadbeater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Jeremy Holloway hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Tamás Honti put it in 5-1 from a short distance just to the right of Johnathan Cousins. If Daryl Leadbeater had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes AEK ATHENS got a freekick which was hit by Max Marshall. If Nicky Fitter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The AEK ATHENS fans cheered their team off the field, for while Stony Stratford FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
