In the 9thth minute of the game Norman Fry who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but F C Tufeni's Zackary Haper was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Warrender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Oliver Christensen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Malmesbury's goal looked a bit too open when Ash Bramble came free, but Oliver Christensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the F C Tufeni defense, Eric Welsh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Zackary Haper. The F C Tufeni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Zackary Haper should have stopped the shot. Ash Bramble fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliver Christensen having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Eric Welsh had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zackary Haper. F C Tufeni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eric Welsh was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 42 minutes into the match, F C Tufeni's goal looked a bit too open when Norman Fry came free, but Zackary Haper reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zackary Haper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Welsh in the 43rd minute of the match. Oliver Christensen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alex Warrender showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 45 minute of play. After the first half Malmesbury were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Ash Bramble made the kick off in the second half. Norman Fry charged in rather forcefully in the 54th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Zackary Haper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eric Welsh in the 73rd minute. Eric Welsh might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zackary Haper. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eric Welsh ran back to his position shaking his head. When Eric Welsh came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Malmesbury fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eric Welsh couldn't finish the play. Gwyn Bartlett could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Zackary Haper made a huge save.
