Oliver Christensen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jerome Rutherford in the 16th minute of the match. Oliver Christensen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ivan Connett in the 24th minute of play. Kev Freeman's late challenge caught a NEW MILLS F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kev Freeman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 25th match minute, Malmesbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kev Freeman to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Kev Freeman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Harvey Donnelly. NEW MILLS F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kev Freeman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. 38 minutes into the match, Malmesbury's goal looked a bit too open when Keith Rusk came free, but Oliver Christensen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Welsh in the 40th minute of play forced NEW MILLS F.C.'s goalkeeper Harvey Donnelly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Norman Fry sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norman Fry received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Harvey Donnelly came out and tried to block the shot, but Norman Fry slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 62nd minute. A collision led to Malmesbury getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Maciej Mielcarz hit a great ball. The supporters of NEW MILLS F.C. booed when Malmesbury was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Welsh didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kev Freeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Harvey Donnelly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan McDonald kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Norman Fry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harvey Donnelly having to interfere. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
