After a rather tough play, Crazy Bastards FC's Adrian Tyrell got a free kick in the 5th minute. After 6 minutes, Ron Portway mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Crazy Bastards FC and the The Tigers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ron Portway kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Frankie Brookes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Dale Cole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ron Portway was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 10 minutes had been played. Ron Portway hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. 14 minutes into the match, Crazy Bastards FC's goalkeeper Dale Cole had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carl Downes. Carl Downes in the 16thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Dale Cole, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vinnie Backhouse struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Dale Cole didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for The Tigers. In the 19th minute, Gus Power hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 20 minutes into the game, Andy Reading was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Crazy Bastards FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave The Tigers the free kick. Andy Reading hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Carl Downes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dale Cole tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 36thth minute of the game Carl Downes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Crazy Bastards FC's Dale Cole was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Tigers were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Crazy Bastards FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Mitch Furniss took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Crazy Bastards FC's goalie and right to Kelvin Atherton. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Crazy Bastards FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Kelvin Atherton's late challenge caught a Crazy Bastards FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kelvin Atherton helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Crazy Bastards FC booed when The Tigers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kelvin Atherton didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 41 played minutes Crazy Bastards FC got a freekick which was hit by Gary Crane. Dale Cole didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carl Downes went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mike Wardell was the one to do the kick off. If Owen Noble had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 59 minutes, Carl Downes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Tigers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carl Downes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When The Tigers's Carl Downes in the 61st minute got a chance for a shot 61st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crazy Bastards FC's goalie prevented a goal. Dale Cole came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by The Tigers's Carl Downes. But to his dismay, Carl Downes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 65th minute, Dave Joy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vinnie Backhouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Cole having to interfere. When The Tigers's Carl Downes in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Crazy Bastards FC's goalie prevented a goal. Vinnie Backhouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mitch Furniss kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. In the 91st minute Carl Downes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dale Cole saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The The Tigers fans cheered their team off the field, for while Crazy Bastards FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
