A wasted opportunity for Burntwood Foresters. Zackary Humphreys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rod Spencer in the 14th minute of play. Alex Howard made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cody Ashby in the 15th minute of play. Cody Ashby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Alex Howard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cody Ashby in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Howard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alex Howard showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cody Ashby in the 28th minute of the match. 31 minutes into the match, i glimpsed a black star's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Corby came free, but Alex Howard reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alex Howard showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cody Ashby, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Alex Howard stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cody Ashby's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dom Shipley stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 played minutes Burntwood Foresters got a freekick which was hit by Ralf Stewart. Zackary Humphreys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dom Shipley in the 59th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Bray in the 61st minute of play forced Burntwood Foresters's goalkeeper Zackary Humphreys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Garry Corby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Howard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Burntwood Foresters's Garry Corby got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute, Graham Coote hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to i glimpsed a black star getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Burntwood Foresters's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
