Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andre Shakespeare to make the kick off. Vecdi Başesgioğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Alex Howard made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dom Shipley in the 54th minute of play forced Greenbay's goalkeeper Eugen Remus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Howard prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Evan Ferguson in the 71st managed to get into a good position. Greenbay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
