Jack Nicholson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 洪振义 in the 9th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Blyth AFC's goal looked a bit too open when 洪振义 came free, but Jack Nicholson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jânio Guedes in the 13th minute of play forced Carlisle United's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goalkeeper Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Virgilio Valery. In the 21st minute, Sebastian Beale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgilio Valery hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Samuel Elding kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Virgilio Valery recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Valery could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Edmund Ziombkowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jânio Guedes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan came out and tried to block the shot, but Jânio Guedes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 34th minute. Jânio Guedes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Beinn Plant hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmund Ziombkowski got free with Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Carlisle United's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Jânio Guedes scored to the left of an out of position Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan, making the score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgilio Valery to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Edmund Ziombkowski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan. Carlisle United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edmund Ziombkowski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. In the 61st minute Greg Oldham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlinhos Vidal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jack Nicholson came out and tried to block the shot, but Carlinhos Vidal slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 64th minute. In the 74th minute Jay Gale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jack Nicholson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Virgilio Valery ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. When Beinn Plant fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Carlisle United's protests and gave Beinn Plant a yellow card for diving instead. After 83 played minutes Carlisle United got a freekick which was hit by Beinn Plant. If Virgilio Valery had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 92 minutes into the game, Sebastian Beale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carlisle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blyth AFC the free kick. Mehmet Hakkı Oğuzkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Guedes in the 94th minute of the match. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Carlisle United's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Charles Buard was slow to take the kick. During this time Blyth AFC's players had a chance to rest. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Blyth AFC fully deserved thier win.
