In the 3rd minute Ivan Straker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carl Budden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Straker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carl Budden read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 6th minute of play. Dean Atkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Sidney Sparks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivan Straker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Carl Budden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Jerry Lovett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Hextable United's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Straker came free, but Carl Budden reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Hextable United's Philip Bignot got a free kick in the 19th minute. Show me da Mane's Ivan Straker got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mikael Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Louie Hill sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the game, Show me da Mane's Ivan Straker nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carl Budden made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 32 minutes into the game, Ivan Straker cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Carl Budden was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Jerry Lovett managed to get in a good position for a shot. Show me da Mane's supporters rose to their feet, but Jerry Lovett was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Budden breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Carl Budden came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Show me da Mane's Louie Hill. But to his dismay, Louie Hill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Jerry Lovett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Budden having to interfere. After the first half Show me da Mane were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Show me da Mane's Sidney Sparks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dean Atkins in the 59th minute of play. Ivan Straker fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carl Budden having to interfere. Nicky Whitmore hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Ivan Straker struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Carl Budden didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Show me da Mane. Ivan Straker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Show me da Mane's Ivan Straker slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carl Budden. That made the score 0-5 after 66 minutes of play. Jerry Lovett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerry Lovett who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Carl Budden when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 77th minute, Mikael Eliasson reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Carl Budden. The goal made the score 0-6. 81 minutes into the match, Ivan Straker had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carl Budden. Hextable United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ivan Straker was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Show me da Mane's Ivan Straker got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerry Lovett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Show me da Mane's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
