The audience was convinced that CJ Street's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carl Budden was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Carl Budden was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 40 minutes of play, Barr Point's Den Newland made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carl Budden was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chris Bowler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Carl Budden tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carl Budden showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Den Newland in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Hextable United's Carl Budden played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Den Newland in the 94th minute of play. From close distance CJ Street pressed in the 0-12 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 96 minutes into the game. Barr Point's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
