Liam Bray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Les Gough in the 5th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 7 minutes, Will Nelson took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Barnaba Wisniewski to make any attempt to save it. 12 minutes had been played when some careless play by Blandford Forum's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jay Pearch was slow to take the kick. During this time Mansfield Quarry FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Mansfield Quarry FC's Jay Pearch to fire away a dangerous shot which Liam Bray despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Nathan Garnett charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nathan Garnett the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Mansfield Quarry FC booed when Blandford Forum was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruben Moss didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Will Nelson got free with Barnaba Wisniewski in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee felt a red card was in order, 23 minutes into the game, when Christopher Peake put in a rough tackle. In the 25th minute, Ruben Moss made a precise shot to the right of Barnaba Wisniewski. Mansfield Quarry FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 27th minute, Miles Gamble hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 30th minute, Rich Bennet ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Liam Bray was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Syd Pallister got free with Barnaba Wisniewski in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 36th minute Lewis Milton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Barnaba Wisniewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Les Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miles Gamble hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Liam Bray came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Mansfield Quarry FC's Nathan Garnett. But to his dismay, Nathan Garnett quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Liam Bray showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich Bennet, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lewis Milton was the one to do the kick off. Lewis Milton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barnaba Wisniewski having to interfere. 53 minutes into the game, Les Gough was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mansfield Quarry FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Blandford Forum the free kick. A collision led to Mansfield Quarry FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Les Gough hit a great ball. Barnaba Wisniewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Will Nelson, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Les Gough sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barnaba Wisniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lewis Milton in the 78th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes Rich Bennet rounded Blandford Forum's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-3. Mansfield Quarry FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
