Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Albert Fitzgerald kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute, Ross Ingram ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Allan Wardell was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. A collision led to Barking getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Hernan Gerazan hit a great ball. In the 9th minute of the match, Fermin Haitz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Guus Zalm was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Guus Zalm stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hernan Gerazan's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. The audience was convinced that Hernan Gerazan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guus Zalm was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. After 14 played minutes Barking got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Gendolla. 16 minutes into the game, Fermin Haitz recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Guus Zalm. Fermin Haitz showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. 20 minutes into the game, Lloyd Beadel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barking's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CAFC1905 the free kick. In the 21st minute of the match Cecilio Fagildo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Allan Wardell skillfully saved the ball. After 24 played minutes Barking got a freekick which was hit by Kerim De Vito. Hernan Gerazan in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guus Zalm, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Barking's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Fermin Haitz in the 28th minute. Laurence Rose made in the 33rd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Fermin Haitz however managed to control. The audience was convinced that Fermin Haitz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guus Zalm was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. The supporters of Barking booed when CAFC1905 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbasa Uria didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 38 minutes of play, CAFC1905's Daniel Parkin made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allan Wardell was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, CAFC1905's Albert Fitzgerald got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 44th minute Hernan Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guus Zalm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Charlie Cooke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guus Zalm having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hernan Gerazan made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Hernan Gerazan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guus Zalm saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Barking's Allan Wardell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ross Ingram in the 56th minute of play. After 57 minutes of play, CAFC1905's Ross Ingram made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Allan Wardell was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Gerazan in the 61st minute of play forced CAFC1905's goalkeeper Guus Zalm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barking made a substitution. Frank Veldman replaced Kev Moxey. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Albert Fitzgerald took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Allan Wardell to make any attempt to save it. Albert Fitzgerald struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Allan Wardell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAFC1905. The crowd rose to their feet as Albert Fitzgerald kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Allan Wardell. That made the score 1-5 in the 70 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Gerazan in the 80th minute of play forced CAFC1905's goalkeeper Guus Zalm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Albert Fitzgerald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CAFC1905 made a substitution. Gregory Tompkins replaced Ray Titmuss. In the 82nd minute, Albert Fitzgerald hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guus Zalm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Gerazan in the 82nd minute of play. Hernan Gerazan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guus Zalm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Albert Fitzgerald could shoot a difficult shot in the 89th minute, which Allan Wardell however easily saved by the left post. In the 91st minute, Hernan Gerazan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 94th minute Ross Ingram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Wardell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. CAFC1905 played a much better game than Barking and deserved their victory. The Barking players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
