Spectators: 6104 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1936, VIP seats: 168) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Åkesson started the match with the kick off. Pete Deacon scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Winstanley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bobby Benbow sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 10th minute, Aleksander Gendolla ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ted Winstanley was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. When Fermin Haitz came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Barking fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fermin Haitz couldn't finish the play. Ted Winstanley came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Barking's Aleksander Gendolla. But to his dismay, Aleksander Gendolla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Gerazan in the 20th minute of play forced FC Pelsall's goalkeeper Ted Winstanley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ted Winstanley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kev Moxey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Cooke in the 37th minute of play forced FC Pelsall's goalkeeper Ted Winstanley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlie Cooke scored 0-4 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ted Winstanley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ted Winstanley didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fermin Haitz went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Ted Winstanley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aleksander Gendolla, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute Fermin Haitz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ted Winstanley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Barking made a substitution. Kerim De Vito replaced Laurence Rose. The wind increased when Hernan Gerazan made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to FC Pelsall getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Bill Marston hit a great ball. Charlie Cooke who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Ted Winstanley when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Allan Wardell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bobby Benbow, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After 61 played minutes FC Pelsall got a freekick which was hit by Steve Lambley. Barking's Frank Veldman was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ted Winstanley in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Ted Winstanley showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Cooke in the 72nd minute of the match. Ted Winstanley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Gerazan in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, 이 연 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Pelsall's supporters rose to their feet, but Bill Marston was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Wardell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ted Winstanley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charlie Cooke in the 85th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, FC Pelsall's goal looked a bit too open when Aleksander Gendolla came free, but Ted Winstanley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Veldman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ted Winstanley made a huge save. FC Pelsall's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Frank Veldman scored to the left of an out of position Ted Winstanley, making the score, 0-8. When the final whistle sounded Barking left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Pelsall.
