The Barking fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Barking's Fermin Haitz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernan Gerazan in the 16th minute of play forced Cheltenham City's goalkeeper Silvester Stallone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Stuart Hicks hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Damon Fordham could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Allan Wardell made a huge save. Silvester Stallone didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Hernan Gerazan went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Barking's Fermin Haitz got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cheltenham City's Silvester Stallone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hernan Gerazan in the 28th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Kev Moxey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cheltenham City's Silvester Stallone was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute, Dan Skoglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fermin Haitz in the 37th minute of play forced Cheltenham City's goalkeeper Silvester Stallone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hernan Gerazan to make the kick off. Barking's Frank Veldman was substituted for Kev Moxey. 74 minutes into the match, Barking's goal looked a bit too open when Rubens Moraes came free, but Allan Wardell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Allan Wardell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damon Fordham, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Hernan Gerazan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvester Stallone was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Cheltenham City's defense didn't have a chance, in the 80th minute, when Charlie Cooke scored to the left of an out of position Silvester Stallone, making the score, 2-4. With a little luck, Cheltenham City's Silvester Stallone got control of the ball when Pete Deacon tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Hernan Gerazan got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fermin Haitz got free with Silvester Stallone in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cheltenham City's Henry Greenfield was substituted for Damon Fordham. In the 95th match minute, Cheltenham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Fantini to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Barking had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
