Alan Tetley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hector Urbes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Tetley showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Shields, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Hector Urbes scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alan Tetley, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Greengates Goliaths's Necaettin İzzet got a free kick in the 39th minute. Greengates Goliaths's Liam Friend proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Greengates Goliaths from getting a goal against them. Liam Friend showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marty Fearns in the 42nd minute of the match. Liam Friend made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Howard Walters sent off a good shot on target. Greengates Goliaths's Liam Friend played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dom Kyle in the 44th minute of play. In the 47thth minute of the game Dom Kyle who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Greengates Goliaths's Liam Friend was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Liam Friend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Howard Walters in the 75th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Keith Knightley in the 76th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Greengates Goliaths's Francis Farrell. Liam Friend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Howard Walters, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Liam Friend made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dom Kyle in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Howard Walters in the 84th minute of play forced Greengates Goliaths's goalkeeper Liam Friend to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
